How are 1-to-1 online lessons delivered?
Lessons are delivered via Microsoft Teams using a high-definition desktop visualiser. Writing directly on paper allows for clean, precise diagrams, graphs, and step-by-step working out. I also integrate Desmos for dynamic graphing and share proprietary resources built over 10+ years.
Do online lessons work as effectively as in-person tutoring?
Yes. Unlike passive sessions, my lessons feature continuous back-and-forth questioning to keep students engaged. I also routinely check homework via photo submissions to verify problem-solving structure, working out, and retention.
What equipment does my child need at home?
A laptop, stable internet connection, paper, pens, and basic stationery. Upon joining, I guide you on the exact calculator model and setup required for their exam board.
I live in a different time zone. Can we still work together?
Yes. I am based in Dubai (GMT+4) and we agree lesson times that suit your time zone and your child's school schedule. Message me on WhatsApp to check availability.
Which exam boards and age groups do you specialise in?
I specialise in Edexcel for secondary students from Year 7 through Year 13 (GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level). Other boards like AQA or Cambridge CIE are accommodated on a case-by-case basis. I teach students of every ability and goal, from those working towards a pass to those aiming for the very top grades.
Do you cover Mechanics for A-Level, and do you offer Further Mathematics?
Yes to Mechanics, which is covered as part of Edexcel International A-Level Mathematics. I offer Further Mathematics at GCSE level, at AED 300 per hour. I do not currently offer A-Level Further Mathematics.
Do you tutor students outside the UAE?
Yes. All lessons are 1-to-1 online, so I teach IGCSE, GCSE and International A-Level students wherever they are based, and I arrange lesson times around your time zone.
How do you assess my child’s baseline grade and knowledge gaps?
Rather than wasting paid lesson time on a test, I analyse recent school exams or send a bespoke diagnostic paper in advance to target 4 to 6 core weakness areas from day one.
Do you provide homework and practice papers?
Yes. Every student receives custom, bespoke homework targeting their own specific areas of weakness, alongside 10+ years of curated past papers and mark schemes.
How are parents kept updated on progress?
We set up a dedicated 3-way WhatsApp group (Parent, Student, Tutor) where I share a brief report after every lesson. Parents can also contact me privately anytime.
Do you teach students who find maths difficult, or who have additional learning needs?
Yes. I am trained to support every type of learner, including students with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia and other additional learning needs. Lessons are paced to your child, and we celebrate progress at every stage.
Do you offer a trial session?

What are your rates and payment options?
AED 250 per hour for Secondary, GCSE and IGCSE Maths, AED 300 per hour for GCSE Further Mathematics, and AED 350 per hour for A-Level and International A-Level Maths. All prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). Payment details are shared on WhatsApp once lessons are agreed.
What happens if we need to reschedule?
Simply notify me as early as possible on WhatsApp, and we will arrange a suitable make-up slot.
